Unless the SB2U at the museum was recovered from Lake Michigan in the past, I would suppose that Mr. Lyssenko would have to have been referring to another example still at the bottom of the lake. I interviewed him about three years ago, and that's when he relayed this info to me.

A&T Recovery is the same outfit that hauled up the two dozen or so Wildcats & Dauntlesses a few years back for the US Navy. That operation has been intimate with the Lake Michigan wrecks for some time, so I assume he has his facts straight.
