Canadian early Spitfire Rudder?

Andy sorry to take the wind out of your sails.
I came across this picture last year on Peter Croser's web site concerning their restoration of RCAF Spitfire BL628. A person named Gary Watson seemed to have sold them a rudder that came from Canada. This caught my interest as I havent been able to find out what happened to Spitfires X4555 and X4492 after 1947. Were they scrapped and Gary found one of the rudders? Still trying to find out where this rudder came from in Canada, as well as what MK. it came off of.
Any clues WIXer's?
