I wonder, idly, whether there might be a flagpole near this P-47...? Mention has been made of a P-47 displayed in Puerto Rico as well as one in Cuba; flagstaffs often feature close by "gate guard" aircraft; and the Puerto Rican and Cuban flags look identical excepting the reversal of the red and blue colours. In a B&W photo they'd be virtually indistinguishable from one another depending on lighting. Maybe a silly point, or just plain mistaken...but stranger things have happened. Comments?
