Early yesterday morning, while on my way to Montreal, I decided to check out Plattsburgh. I found a former AFB, lots of empty space, some commercial activity, one airplane that looked flyable, probably a composite aerobatic (civilian) type, unknown to me. Also, a tail-less and engine-less -747 in front of a Pratt & Whitney hangar.
Driving around, I came upon a park, where a B-47 and an FB-111A are on display. These are displayed to honor the personnel who flew them and served in Plattsburgh AFB. The unit there, won several times the Fairchild trophy as well as the McCall trophy.
Saludos!
