Hi all,
Just received confirmation by the landowner that this friday evening we will have permission to visit the site where a B-24 crashed in November 1944. According to locals a lot of the wreck is rumoured to be still on site in the estuary of a river. Everything is known about the aircraft and it's crew with several photo's known of the aircraft's pin up including a very rare colour one. Would you believe it that the aircraft crashed into the river after all engines had been starved of fuel and eyewitnesses saw the four props windmilling when the aircraft slowly lost altitude and finally dove into the water.
