Flying Legends (day 2)

Hi All,
Yesterday was my first ever Flying Legends show. Following the unfortunate events on Saturday, I thought long and hard but decided to go and felt that "Due Respect" was shown by all.

The flight-line consisted of 11 x Spitfires, 5 x P-51, 3 x Hurricanes, 3 x Corsairs, 2 x Ju52, 2 x P-40 1 x Hawker Nimrod, B-17, B25, P-47, Tigercat, Bearcat, Hellcat, Wildcat, Skyraider, Blenhiem, Lysander, Yak3, La9, Beech and a Gladiator.

There were also 3 x DC3 and a Havard which were not involved in the show. The La9 was unable to take part while the crosswinds with above the safety limits for the Nimrod.

I was impressed with the Ju52 pairing (they are just so slow) and the the 2 P-40's plus the Yak3, 'seemed' to be the quickest of everthing.

Noisiest must be the Wildcat, it sounded like it was running without any lubrication.

Most disappointed with the Blenhiem flight, as it was only in the air for a short period of time. No critisim is intended but I missed most of its run, looking elsewhere (really must buy some compound eyes like the fly has).

The Corsair has moved up my list of favourite 'frames, it just looks so............aggresive, graceful, menacing and sounds....will quiet, certainly compared to the Wildcat.

Unfortunately, TFC's Hurricane 4 was unable to make the flightline and this despite the almost constant attention by the TFC crew.

I don't think that I went snap happy and only have 6 x 36 rolls to be developed plus the 90 odd digital images taken.

I hope that you enjoy them.
