Yes Geneseo Airshow Again !

Attended the airshow yesterday. The weather wasn't the best. Very windy, overcast and cool. Luckily the wind was right down the runway. The rain held off to the very end of the show. Aircraft attendance, I found was a bit down over recent years. I am sure the weather had a lot to do with that. There were several no shows, which is always to be expected.
Unfortunately Mike Potter was unable to bring his Spitfire. I spoke to him and he said that when he went to pull the aircraft out of the hangar there was coolant on the hangar floor. The leak was coming from the intercooler, which needs to be rebrazed. He did bring his Staggerwing though. Potter's Spitfire would have looked great along side Yagen's Spitfire which was there. Also attending were three Mustangs (Glamorous Gal, Donald and Miss Marilyn II), B-25 Panchito, B-17 "Memphis Belle", Val replica, and a Percival Provost . Numerous T-6 and Harvards (6 from Canadian Harvard Association with 3 doing nice 3 ship aerobatic demo) and at least 6 WWI replicas from Great War Flying Museum. An assorted number of other trainers were there as well. Of course there was the modern contingent which included a 3 ship A-10 flypast, 2 F-16s and a very noisy F-18 display with a opening sneak attack from behind the crowd.

It was a very enjoyable display at a wonderful location. Looking forward to next year!
