I totaly agree with John. Many of us have even contributed a mugshot for the gallery!
An idea could be to ignore posts made by aliases, or encourage them to come out of the closet, before entering a discussion...
It would be sad though if we have to register to post.

P.S. It's a bit like the current discussion going on in Europe on weather or not to allow people participating in "demonstrations" to cover their faces or wear masks when they're rioting in the streets.
