Here at the Jamtlands Flyg och Lottamuseum I have completed a display of the rare bird Northrop 8-A1 dive bomber.
Only two examples of it is known to exist, and none in Sweden.
The type was license-built by ASJA(former SAAB)in 102 ex.
This aircraft crashed 1944 in the Northern part of Sweden and was not found until 1948.
Both crewmembers were killed.........
The display consists of the wrecked plane roughly put together "as it looked",and some original brand new spare parts that we have for the type.
Some parts of the wreck has been restored and they are of course here too.
The F 4 Wing at Froson(where the bomber was based) had also a wing repair facility wich is represented with some original steel plate masters for re-skinnings of crashed wings.
Some pictures of the exhibition can be found at:

Some time in the future we will try to re-manufacture
one of these bombers as we have a lot of parts for it.
But of course a matter of raising money for the project.
For now this will do..
Hejda!
