The center section of the mainspar has been on display for some years, it's the outer sections which has been newly attached. At least three pairs of outer sections were used in a garage to support the roof, built after the war.
Two other sets of the outer mainsparsections have been preserved in Germany, with Technical museum in Berlin and Deutches museum in Munich.
The center section was recovered from an airbase at Leipheim.
I'd love to see in in the air again - though I would be frightened, very frightened to see it coming lubering a long... It's like the humble-bee - it really can't fly but it doesn't know it!
