I suppose it could be possible. If so, the college would have had to let the plane remain on site for well over a year beyond their initial decision to dispose of it. I would imagine such an act might have run them short on patience if they were keen to see it diappear, but then again, the intervention of a dedicated preservation group might have been enough to cool their determination to see it disappear by any means necessary.

Does anyone have contact info for Mr. Snadden?
