David Price's Yak-3M 470101 N854DP was recently sold to Jeffrey Hamilton, Whitefish, Montana.

The FG-1D Corsair (76628 N7171K) project that Kevin Hooey owned for many years has been purchased by Duane Doyle of Castro Valley, California.

James Nezgoda's Yak-11 (2511120, N18AW, Reno racer "Maniyak") which was heavily damaged in a landing accident at Ione, California in 2001 was recently purchased by William Lewallen of Arizona City, AZ.


Jerry Yagen's P-40 41-35927 that had its first flight last month and appeared at the Classic Fighters airshow at Blenheim NZ has just shown up on the US Civil Register as N1941P.

"There's also a "new" P-40 on the Civil Register: P-40N-5 42-105861 N49FG registered to Chuzy Suzy LLC, Lafayette, Louisiana. I'm checking with friends in the south to try to find out who's behind "Chuzy Suzy".


Butch Schroeder's FG-1D Corsair project BuNo 92132 was purchased recently by David O'Malley of Cinncinati, Ohio.


Jim Frye, Minneapolis Minnesota is a new warbird collector with big plans.

He owns the ex CAF P-82 Twin Mustang 44-65162 N12102 which is at Nelson Ezell's and the wreckage of the ex CAF P-38 "Scatterbrain Kid II" 42-104088 N38LL which is with Westpac Restorations at Railto, CA. He also owns
the ex John Silberman F4U-4 Corsair project (no BuNo known at this time), the wreckage of Howard Pardue's F4U-4 97302 NX68HP which crashed in April 1993 and the wreckage of Jim Cavanaugh's F4U-4 97280 NX712RD which crashed at Oshkosh 1999. All will be restored to flying.
