Could this be the airframe that was supposed to be lifted by the RAAF at the end of the eighties when they recovered several Japanese airframes from PNG?

I read in FlyPast at the time that they had found a Ki61 in excellent condition and that they had dissasembled it ready for lifting by helicopter. When they came back to pick it up the tail had been removed.
