Any idea which P-38 project this is?
LOCKHEED P-38 L PROJECT ? AVAILABLE FOR SALE!! his is a Lockheed P-38 L project for sale. It is not crashed and cockpit section is not bent. It is basically complete. The aircraft will need major sheet metal rebuild on RH side from axe damage and reskinned on LH side. The canopy, windscreen and instrument panel are included with the project. It also has nose gear and door as well as adaptable T-33 fighter nose. Center is not crashed or bent but requires complete reskin. The spar caps and fuel tanks will require replacement. There is damage on trailing edges from bulldozer push. Attach angles appear to be good. Main gear is included complete with wheels , new 36" main tires and NOS brakes. $350,000.00 US.
