There is something goofy about this airplane showing back up again. I checked my copy of "P-Screamers" and the owner that the airplane was registered to at the time it "disappeared" is the same that it is registered to now.

Do you think it is possible that she has been tucked away in a hanger for the last 40s years without seeing the light of day or another enthusiast?

It is the warbird world so I wouldn't rule anything out.
