Dear Mike;
I am not sure if I uploaded that link or someone else. Alot of research has been done on this aircraft as well as the Hurricane in Duxford. Both have phony plates and RCAF Hurricane experts Jerry Vernon and Norm Malayney have the full monty on these two aircraft. In fack it you look on the WWW.CAHS.COM discuss. brd you'll see Norm's request for further information on the DUXFORD aircraft. I'm finding out it was never to have left Canada!
As for the USAF, it is another ex-RCAF type that seems to have some phony serial number that makes no sense. Not even a plate restoration as the serial indicated, as Jerry tells me, is sitting somewhere offshore of Tofino, BC on Van. Island. I can't remember what serial Norm and Jerry managed to pin on it - if any!
I have an email Jerry sent me and if I can find it I'll post what he has dug out during his 25+ years researching them.
Lee
