I would disagree with the grass idea lynn, as this tends to tear that delicate front part of the scoop up. This was a hard surface runway, had to be as there is no dirt on the polished propeller and the underside is clean. I mean really clean. I thought that there was light damage to N20TF when that happened, but this is really light, with the all important scoop being repairable. Look at how the flaps are set as well, not full down, so no damage to the inner corners and thus the rest of the flap gear. I guess that the gear would not come down (duh), and he did not have one of these tools to pop the uplocks down from the cockpit. A shame for Mr Wood, but a great job of flying a precision landing approach.
