something entirely different. Tony's aircraft is a H-87 aircraft, therefore paid in full via Britsih Purchasing commision, and not Lend lease, therefore the rules don't apply. As for Jerry's aircraft, this is a lend lease, and therefore, subject to the rules of lend lease.
My one question would have to be, if lend lease aircraft, lost in combat or accident, written off by the force it was serving with (therefore cannot be returned and in all purposes destroyed - under the rules of lend lease), how can they stop it being returned to US (most aircraft unlikely to be more than 40% Orginal....although always exceptions to the rule). I would like to see the outcome of the court case for this one.
Maybe another problem with dataplate only rebuilds to sort out for later (although Jerry's isn't a dataplate rebuilt).
