Parachutist who drowned was Mike Reilly, one of the leading lights in sport parachuting in the early sixties (obviously not the present day Concorde captain and aerobatic pilot!). There is a terrific pen portrait of him the first volume of Lewis Benjamin's tribute to the Tiger Club, and I believe he wrote a book called "Alone in the Sky" which would be worth a read if you can get hold of a copy. I haven't managed to so far...
Crewdson and Caidin were great characters as well, so sad they are no longer with us...
