Another great Chino airshow has come and gone. I was too late to make it to the WIXer meeting on Saturday but I hope you guys had a good crowd. Highlights for me included the Hurricane, Tom Camp's new Wildcat restoration, Paul Allen's P-38, and, of course, those two Tigercats making formation flybys. Oh, Grey's work with the Bearcat was something to see also. The only let downs were with the MkXIX Spit which did not fly and the fact that the P-38, Corsair, F6F, and P-40 of POF were still on tour and not at the show. I also missed the P-51A but, having seen it many times in the past, was not too upset by its absence. There's always next year! I will probably post some pics from the show in the upcoming days but chances are somebody else with better pics will beat me to it. Regards, Chad.
PS- One quick question. I noticed that Friedkin's Hellcat was in the hangar minus its port wing. Just wondering if it was used to get the POF airplane flying after the mid air so it could join the tour.
