I was at Duxford today and had a good look at the sawn wing of the Mossie...hmmmm.....ceratainley a big job to get back in the air, but it is essentially a 'complete' airframe. As for could not be restored in Mr Grey's lifetime......what tosh.....if he concentrated effort on the Mossie as priority, instead of all the yank stuff then he could easily fly it his lifetime. But, no one has ever restored a Mossie before to flying condition from that state, and if TFC can't do it then who else can..??? I'm afraid I just can't see anyone in the USA wanting a Mossie, other than Paul Allen for his collection of expensive hanger queens.

Why oh why isn't any UK based operator keen on trying to return a Mossie to UK skies......:-((

Gladiator was certainley coming on, Brisfit was engineless, Sea Fury was having fabric applied to control surfaces, and Wildcat and Bearcat were being worked on.

: I have heard the same information and this came from a per
: son who spoke directly to Stephen Grey on May 16 in Chino.
: Mr. Grey has purchased the FHC P-38, and the Mosquito is
: for sale as it was recently surveyed and could not be res
: tored in Mr. Greys lifetime.
: Of course he could always change his mind!
