I have to say that I don't really agree that it was worth ?4400!!! There was only one spar (rear) half the brackets were not original but made out of wood and the tubing was mainly car exhaust pipe!!! They even took the reflector gunsight out for the auction!!! There was not a full set of instruments and the cockpit had been built too long (Barry was given a measurement as the starting point which was later found to be wrong).
A more realistic price was ?2000.....I have not nearly spent that much and I have already found a cheap supplier of tubes and have most of the brackets required for start!!
