Great pics, thanks for sharing. I just spent the last two days in Tucson on business and found some time to drive around the bone yards. Other interesting aircraft I came across included many S-2 Trackers, a couple of nearly complete T-28 Trojans, and even several substantially complete Beech D-18's. One salvage yard contained the carcasses of several Grumman Albatross amphibians which is no surprise as the place is littered with them. However, towards the back of the yard there was one Albatross that appeared complete and had been stripped of all paint. As I was sitting there admiring it I was pleasantly surprised to see the port engine come to life in a plume of smoke! I assume this must be one of the companies that prepars aircraft to be ferried out of Davis Monthan for new owners but that's only a guess on my part. Interesting none the less. Thanks again for the nice pics, Chad Veich.
