Aero Vintage Hawker Biplanes

Posted by Paul McMillan on Thu May 08, 2003 09:10:46 AM

I read an article in Airshows 2003 which mentioned the HAC/Aero Vintage Hind, Audax, Nimrod II and I am trying to work out what Hawker Biplanes are owned by HAC/Aero Vintage

According to Wrecks and Relics, they list

G-CBLK Hind (ex Afghanistan) 41H-82971 L7181 (Aero Vintage)

G-BURZ Hawker Nimrod Mk II K3661 (41H-59890) (Historic Aircraft Co)

G-BVVI Hawker Audax K5600 (Aero Vintage)

? Fury II - Wrecks and Relics

? Fury (REP) (Reproduction) : ?? - Wrecks and Relics

We can now add the following recent additions to the register

G-CBZP Hawker Fury 41H-46784 (ex SAAF) (Historic Aircraft Co)

G-CBLK Hind (ex Afghanistan) 41H-82971 L7181 (Aero Vintage)

Is the Fury the one actually listed by W&R as Fury (Reproduction) and if so what is the Fury II?

I also know that they have parts of a Swedish B4 Hawker Hart (Mercury Engined) : See http://host.bip.net/smfu/kionga/B4.html for a link.

anything more to add to the list, can anybody supply anthing further to the Fury II (I am doing some of this from memory)

BTW what with

G-BTVE Demon K8203 with Demon Displays

the Hector in Ireland with the South East Aviation Enthusiasts Group

the Osprey wreck in Sweden (http://host.bip.net/smfu/kionga/S9.html)

All we need is an Hardy and Hartbee for the 'set'

Hardy: Something else to look for in Iraq!
