I think the one aircraft that made the strongest impression on me was the B-17. I've seen the Memphis Belle (movie aircraft) twice and Aluminum Overcast at Mustangs & Legends a couple of years ago.

Now one aircraft that "does it" for me is the A-26 Invader, I've never seen one fly except on film. The movie Always inspired my love for this aircraft that still exsists to this day. My dream would be to rebuild one of these aircraft.

However I must relate a story that will only be truly understood by your guys. As most of you probably know, The Gathering Of Mustangs & Legends took place in Kissimee, FL a couple of years ago. Well I travelled down and stayed with my parents who live about 2.5 miles from the airport where it took place. The gathering was really a mustang convention and for the fouor or five days before the public viewing the P-51's flew regularly over my parents house which was under the pattern.

My parents neighbors didn't say anything to them until after I returned to Massachusetts, but they were completely baffled as to why I would periodically run outside and stand in the front yard with a 35mm or video camera pointed at the sky. I found it impossible to not run out to watch these aircraft fly over. The sounds of the Merlins gave me goosebumps. The highlights was a formation fly over of four mustangs. While I'm sure they think I was insane, I'm sure you all completely understand.
