It's the training base for DGSE! So, permission to recover and dive might be difficult to say the least. It's a bit like having a Spitfire in a lake inside Stirling Lines....
The easiest way this recovery could happen, is a Military expedition adventure training type thing. Even then, i'm not sure, if the French would be willing to let a recovery happen. There is a similar situation with a P-51 in a bog in France, it's in the middle of a Military range! Might be worth a fax to DGSE on Military notepaper though..
Thanks for the reply Phil, is there anything else in the region, bearing in mind Ajaccio airport is bang on top of the location?
