The Halifax!
Ever since seeing the Airfix Halifax III when I was still in school (I thought what is that? I only knew the Lanc then) I have a passion for this great bomber. Unfortunately under-rated and always playing second best behind the Lanc it has a war-record to be proud of.
When I visit the RAFM, I go straight to W1048 and start looking at every detail etc. Having seen YAM's Halifax from the inside is still one of the most memorable events in my life (and talking for a few hours with Tony Agar about his Mossie). I myself have been collecting Halifax parts and hope to assemble a mock up cockpit section using original parts. Beats collecting stamps.
