Short Shetland

Just bought the Air Britain book dealing with crashes during testing 1940/1971.
It mentions that one of the prototypes of the gigantic Short Shetland sank at its moorings at Felixstowe, no mention whether it was raised or not.
Now that would be something to look into this case wouldn't it?
Further also a photo showing the fuselage of the Miles M20 prototype lying on the Miles dump at Woodley in 1948. What happened to it, was it burned?
Very interesting book I might add.
