Excellent idea but I would imagine that very few people would be able to cross the pond, as it were and meet our trans-continental cousins.
I would be more than willing (work permitting) to meet at a situable venue in the UK and if enough people get involved, maybe 3 or 4 meetings a year could take place, each at a different location and could allow those with the possibility of crossing, to meet with those unable to do so.
To make it more interesting (as if talking warbirds wasn't interesting enough) maybe it would be possible to tie up with say specific groups/muesums and arrange 'behind the scenes' tours.
I appreciate that such tours would most likely effect working conditions for the staff involved, so maybe weekends would be best for such an event.
Just a thought!
