Years ago I was locked inside the Italian Air Force archives - not just the reading room, but the archives themselves. It was around closing time on a Friday. I pondered whether to use for the most intensive research ever carried out. Eventually lack of paper and xerox machine made me decide to get out. Luckily I remembered where the well-hidden phone was (no cell phones then!) and called the duty officer to get me out.
Today, with a laptop, a cell phone and maybe some sandwiches ... I wish I could be locked in again!
