I've just read an article in the Swedish Aviation Historical Associations magazine that Alex McKie, the navigator on Easy Elsie visited the wreck last summer after an invitation from local air historical people. He's sons gave him the trip for his 80th birthday. McKie was intervied by the by the local media at the wreck. He also had the opportunity to visit the local jail where he spent some time before transport to a camp. Strangely enough after some days in the camp, he and the rest of the crew went to stockholm, bought some civilian cloths and went about as any one else, until they got some seats on a C-47 back to UK. So they weren't interned for any length of time.
Nothing has been mentioned in the texts about any planned recovery of the remains of the wreck.
