I think you probably need to talk directly to someone in the casting industry. This specification was obsoleted in 1943! I can't find any direct crossover with what I can access commercially or via military specifications (which have mostly transitioned to commercially maintained- AMS, SAE, etc.).

QQ-C-390 appears to be brass and bronze, while QQ-A-390 appears to be aluminum alloys.

In the following link, the obsolete QQ-A-390 specification is replaced with AMS 4855 (Leaded Red Brass, Sand and Centrifugal Castings 85Cu - 5.0Sn - 5.0Pb - 5.0Zn as Cast UNS C83600):
