Thanks Mike and Tony,

Yes, today was also spent on a sunny but very chilly IJsselmeer, I nevertheless got sunburned like yesterday. Although today not much was recovered apart from some tail bits and pieces and a servomotor from the Autopilot system, a lot of info was gathered how the aircraft lay, and that was: totally smashed!!! Tail and nose are mixed together with the remains of the wingsparbooms and all sorts of wreckage with the engines beneath all that.

One engine will hopefully be recovered tomorrow. That will also be the final day of this preliminay survey to see how to recover the missing crewmembers. More to follow when this becomes available.

Good news is that everything recovered will be delivered at our doorstep care of the Dutch Navy, you can't have it better than that. Some representatives from the RNethAF were also present yesterday and today and I must admit they were very pleasant to work with, they also expressed their dissapointment that the remains of the other Lancaster we discussed some weeks ago were to be sold on e-bay, and we were assured that such a thing would never ever happen again.

Cees
