Ahh....I see it's finished then......:-))
I saw this in a rod mag while in Australia last year, seem to remember the rodder who built it was a big P-51 fan, but realised he was never going to own one, so decided the next best thing would be the make a P-51 'hot rod'.
Basically build a sodding great chassis to take a RR Merlin (if I remember it IS supercharged...!) and cover in a suitably painted 55 Chevy body, and fit out with geniune P-51 instruments and other items as much as he could.....

Bloody brilliant if you ask me.........
