Brian--

A few I don't see listed in here, but which particularly impress me for different reasons:

1. CBHC, Sault Ste-Marie ON. A well-focused collection (bushplanes/firefighting aircraft and nothing but)--with absolutely reams of supporting detail (literally whole binders full) accompanying each displayed airframe, even barely-there hulks recovered from remote crashsites.

2. WDM, Moose Jaw SK. This isn't chiefly an air museum but its aviation section is ingenious, arranged in three galleries, one mimicking part of a 1930s airfield, one a BCATP wartime installation and one the CFB Moose Jaw flightline. Murals, hangar facades (behind one of which is the rebuild shop) using what look like genuine doors, and a nice grouping of historic aircraft including a truly splendid fully-restored Anson I complete with turret.

3. NLSM, Nanton AB. Small Alberta town that does not actually possess an airport--nonetheless NLS has assembled a collection that would catch the attention of many national-level curators. And their website is one of the most detailed and informative museum sites I've seen.

4. SAM, Shearwater NS. Like NLS, terrific job on limited resources. (If only they had a Fury!) :-)

Course there are many others, of which CAM (NAM) and RAM stand out; and of course I have many a fond memory of CWH in the pre-fire days...

S.
