The CAF Mossie was RS709 which they had back in the mid '70's and virtually never flew it. It was bought by Doug Arnold and flown back to the UK around 1979/80 and underwent a comprehensive refurb, before eventually being sold to the USAFM, and thereby having to undertake yet another trans-altlantic flight to Dayton and permanent grounding.
