I am always on the look out for books with military serial number and manufacturer construction number tie-ups. I have heard that a book "Boeing Aircraft Since 1916" by Peter Bowers is a good source of Boeing s/n tie-ups. I have not had a chance to put my hands on a copy yet. But I did discover a book in my local library, "United States Navy Aircraft Since 1911" by Swanborough and Bowers. I hoped it would be as informative as Mr. Bowers book is supposed to be, but it was a dissappointment. Although it was probably and excellant book when published in 1968, with the vast amount of information on the internet you will do just as well surfing the web, and there are no s/n or c/n tie-ups (bummer). My rating is two thumbs down.
Thought I would do this book review in case some of you were thinking of buying a used copy of this book.

Mike
