Hi all,
Today we were approached by someone connected to the 97 Squadron at RAF Wickenby who was trying to get more information about what happend.
Here's my reply to him

Thanks for your message. The whole story of the crash of this Lancaster can be found on the website of NFLA. I have no further information I wish to supply as a result of the human drama suffered involving this particular crash.
Our organisation has been involved with the preliminay investigation into the events leading to the crash and the Dutch family when the Lancaster crashed on their home. I can tell you that we do not approve in any way that the parts of this aircraft are being sold to raise money for a hangar however noble the aims of RAF Wickenby are. Same goes for the ridiculous gift by the RNethAF in giving the wreckage to RAF Wickenby under the assumption that the wreckage would be put on display instead of selling off for money.
I hope that you can understand our views in this matter and wish their efforts in raising money every succes but it can be done in a more humanitary manner than is happening right now.
Cheers

Although the efforts in raising money can be understandable but as you probably know we think that selling the wreckage to achieve this goal is beyond any possible human standards.
