The Planes of Fame Fighters left Chino, CA on tuesday to fly to the East Coast to start The Midwest WWII Fighter Tour. The fighters are in great shape, with the P-38, and the Corsair in there New Paint Scheme. They left Chino after lunch on tuesday with Ray Dieckman flying the P-40, Kevin Eldridge flying the F4U-1A Corsair, and Steve Hinton flying the P-38 Lightning. Also Michael O'Leary is flying out with them and doing a story about flying Warbirds across country. The Pilots will be taking turns flying the different fighters as they travel ascross the USA. The first stop for the fighters will be Columbus, Georgia. They have a great show lined up, and Ray will be doing the Legacy Flight in the Corsair with a F-18 Super Hornet as well. Check out the POF Web Site for the Tour Schedule, and we have some really "COOL" T-Shirts for sale at the show. **** The F6F Hellcat will join the Fighter Tour in a couple of Weeks ****
