Does anyone know the history behind the aircraft that wore this scheme, and its pilot? The new paint is far and away more attractive than the previous scheme IMO! I've always been a fan of flat olive drab schemes on USAAF warbirds.

If "Joltin' Josie" had to pass the torch, this was surely the way to do it :)
