Thanks for the tips... they were useful. Incidentally, in my searching I came across a fascinating california government document about Tallichet. Basically it was dealing with a rejection of his claims that the Iraqi furies were a part of his restaurant business, and could be claimed as expenditures on this business. You can find the document here... it takes a little while to download.

If you read between the lines of all the legal mumbo-jumbo, it was really pretty interesting reading, and seemed to imply that the Iraqi fury deal had been going on since at least 1975, but that it had only been in 1979 that they had actually been brought to the States. Would love to know more about this deal, as it is certainly one of the great ones...
