If I remember correctly, the old air classics article mentioned that there were the remains of five aircraft at Tullahoma when the Brewsters were first found (some wrecks more substantial than others). Tallichet is supposed to have taken the two best airframes, and as far as I know still has them. One airframe went to Nick Dapuso (spelling!), which was under restoration in Johnsville, PA for the NMNA until Nick died a couple of years ago... it;s now in storage in Pensacola. One airframe stayed in Tullahoma. I was told it sits outside the Staggerwing museum. The remains of the last and very battered airframe are at the Empire State Aerosciences Museum in Schenechtady, NY. I have a photo of it there somewhere, but it was really a very tattered wreck, and barely recognizeable as an airframe even.

That being said, the wreck at Tullahoma deserves a better home... it's a very rare beast indeed!

Hope this helps. Cheers, Richard
