Mine was probably being in the back seat of a P-51 ("Donna-Mite") and flying escort on a B-17 ("Yankee-Lady") for an airshow at Flying Cloud airport (Minneapolis area). There was the B-17 with 3 P-51's and a Spitfire flying escort. Made a couple low passes with all 5 aircraft....then two broke off the formation and we made 2 more passes. We were on the left side of the B-17 with Lou IV on the right side for two unforgetable low passes. Awesome. Anyone have any pictures of the formation by any chance?
