Blue Skies Jim,
Jim Verinis
Memphis Belle Copilot
ANN Reader JD Wetterling writes, "Another American hero has lived out his
allotted days -- Jim Verinis, co-pilot of the Memphis Belle, died March 3 in
a West Palm Beach (FL) hospital.
"Few men in history have demonstrated the providence of God more than the
crew of the Memphis Belle. They and the Belle were the first B-17 and crew
to survive their 25 missions intact in WW II, when 80% of their bomb group
did not. My friend, Col. Bob Morgan, pilot of the Memphis Belle, has posted
a picture and tribute to his life long best friend at www.memphis-belle.com.
"Please check it out and consider sending a note of condolence and thanks by
clicking on "Contact us at Morgan Productions."
