Rare Air-to-Air

A previously unpublished photograph I received from Bob Forbes this afternoon. He piloted FAH-604 (F4U-5N BuNo.122179) back from Tegucigalpa, Honduras as part of a flight of six Corsairs during December 1979. Forbes turned out to be a great guy, and a heck of a character :) Of the original six ferry pilots involved in this mission, only Forbes and Mike Penketh are still around. There's talk that Bubba Beal might still be buzzing around the skies somewhere, and that rumors of his demise are much exaggerated ;)
