I'm not sure if they were the Jim Pearce examples but Jerry Cooper now has a couple of IL2 projects, with one hopefully being restored to flying condition and the other going to the RAFM for anyone who was wondering just where the RAFM were going to get an IL2 from, should be a nice project seeing as the woodwork is available from Russia at a reasonable price, dunno about the engine though, that AM38 sound like a bit of a dogs dinner >:-/ The other Tempest II that he's restoring is for static at a northern museum I found out recently too.
