He didn't make any specific comments regarding future operations for the P-35, but every other plane in that particular room was commented upon as being scheduled for ultimate restoration to fly (Hellcat, P-38, etc). Judging from the spirit of what I remember, my 'guess' would be that the P-35 should be flown at least on a limited basis once it's completed. It's certainly not nearly as complex an aircraft as the Tempest, and it's not exactly an overpowered beast of a plane. Unless I'm mistaken, I've already seen this plane flown to Oshkosh back in the 1980's. Unless for some reason it doesn't make the Weeks "favorite eight" list, I would personally be suprised not to see it at least attend a few choice airshows upon completion. Of course that's my opinion - I may be wrong :)
