Oh, I'm missing something here. In Aeroplane Monthly March 2003 issue it is stated that the Yak 3 of MoF is up for sale because of the closure of the museum, and they have a photo of the Yak suspended from the ceiling.
I quote the magazine "The MoF Yak-3, once flown by Russian ace Maj B.N. Yeryomin, is now for sale".
That's what made me start wondering what the story with the aircraft was...
