Lavochkin La 9 took to the air today [ 1st March ] at Ardmore , Auckland . Faultless first flight. Ray Hanna interviewed and said a bit about purchasing the aircraft . News bulletin said that the aircraft will make a public debut at Ardmore airshow , and then will be shipped to the U.K. in 3 weeks.
Looked superb with its' red cowlings !
