The time frame seems correct, since during late 1980 the Honduran AF surviving Corsairs were flown to the USA. I have seen the T-28s based at Merida IAP, and I cannot confirm but I have heard about T-28s based in Cancun.
So it is likely that the Corsairs -without markings may I add - were the former FAH examples, although not even close to a dozen.
